Music Success in 9 weeks Blog 2!

Howdy doo?!

Love that you've chosen to join me on another blogging journey.  To keep reading,  just do what your doing now..

What this blog is about is to show YOU, my fan, (hopefully fans).. and Ariel Hyatt (an amazing PR guru who specialises in using the net for marketing and all kinds of thangs) how much I can improve my celebrity status and build on my skills and marketing through the WWW.

It's week two and what i was meant to do this week was create a pitch that i could put on all of my readable media including my website, posters. handouts, contact cards etc.  A pitch is just pretty much a summary of who you are and what you do with a bit of spice added to get people to actually pay attention and eventually buy your product.

In Ariel's book she says these are some of the best pitches she's ever seen!!!!:

Leftover Salmon – Polyethnic Cajun Slamgrass
John Taglieri – If Vertical Horizon and Third Eye Blind got hit by Train!
Devil Doll – Jessica Rabbit meets Joan Jett

......Huh?!  I got the second one but "Jessica Rabbit meets Joan Jett"?? and "Polyethnic Cajun Slamgrass"?!?  I'm confused.

I wrote down some of my influences including Ray Charles, Rufus Wainwright,  Daniel Johns and James Brown.  Then I wrote down some artists that some people have said that i sound like, Jeff Buckley, Paolo Nutini and John Mayer

So pretty much I had to make something up from scratch...

This is my attempt:

"Modern folk. Taking you back to a time when songs mattered most."

Week 2 Completed!

Check back next week for more
